Nightly Rate for 1-4 People - $139.00 plus 13.25% Tax

The Jungle Farmhouse vacation rental is located in the heart of the Puna District on the east side of Hawai'i Island and just minutes away from Kehena Black Sand Beach, Lava Tree Park, Thermal Warm Ponds, Snorkeling at Kapoho Tide Pools and Steam Vents.

It is also close to Pahoa's eclectic shops, farmers markets, galleries, a natural food store, drug store, grocery store and great restaurants. (Less than 1 mile away)

Lava Viewing Areas (Link to Map of current flows) are close too! If your timing is right you can see surface lava flows and lava entering the ocean. Amazing!

A PRIVATE 2.5 ACRE JUNGLE FARM

Here, the sun and the rain do all the work and provide us with fresh avocados, tangerines, passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, bananas and coffee from the forest.

And our free range chickens provide us with fresh eggs too! (When available, we will supply your kitchen with fresh fruit and eggs).

Outside your living room door...

...lies a two acre jungle sanctuary, home to native birds, exotic plants and towering trees. Here, the hidden realms of nature are revealed, creating a great place to meditate and listen to the forest.

With three bedrooms and a big living room and porch, it's perfect for a romantic holiday or family retreat.

Growing Food in the Jungle

Your Hosts, Danny and Matthew, who also own and operate the Hilo Bay Hale Bed and Breakfast in Hilo, opened the Jungle Farmhouse vacation rental in Sept. 2011 and live part time in a cottage next to the Farmhouse.

The organic farm provides food for the

Bed and Breakfast in Hilo and Guests at the Jungle Farmhouse. They are currently raising two baby goats (for milking and cheese) and have 25 chickens (for eggs)
and 4 ducks (for eggs).

The part-time gardening includes herbs, greens, beans, peppers and tomato. They are also growing a variety of taro, coffee and tropical fruit under the forest canopy utilizing the natural surroundings
 for shade and nutrients.
